Hi we are the Athletic Minds from S.A Johannesburg, the city of gold. We are eight scholars from Hope School, a school for the physically disabled, and learning challenged students. Our school has the most beautiful view of Johannesburg, and has strong athletic learners. We even have a few pupils that are part of the Provincial Team, which will be taking part in the National Games for The Physically Challenged. These games includes track and field, cycling, boccia, swimming, soccer and power lifting. Our pupils also form part of the Provincial Wheelchair Basketball Team. Most of us in this group form part of this Provincial Team, and one of out members has National Colors in both track and field and wheelchair basketball.

We are all a group of boys but, our ninth member is a girl, who is a scholar at Jeppe High School for Girls in Johannesburg, which is one of the best schools academically in the province. We would like to just say that we are very excited to be participating and look forward to this experience.

Hi my name is Tshepang Malinga, I am 16 and am in grade 10. I take part in cross country and am part of the management of the wheelchair basketball team and I work out in the guy.My hobbies are to rap and dance hip hop.

Hey my name is Samkelo Koti, I am 15 and am in grade 10. I take part in soccer and am part of the wheelchair basketball teams management. My hobbies are to dance, play soccer and cycling.

Hi my name is Kwakhe Msibi, I'm 16 and am in grade 10. I am a wheelchair basketball player and an assistant coach. My hobbies are playing playstation and cycling nd swimming.

Hi im Kabelo Maseko, I am 19 and in grade 12. I enjoy playing boccia, I'm very good at it and I love it.

Holla I am Siyabonga "Hero-Bonga" Vilakazi. I am 19 and in grade 11. I am part of the boccia team as an assistant, I enjoy everything I do and am very friendly.

Holla I am Sifiso "Big-Man" Gama. I'm 19 and in grade 12. I am an international athlete in track and field and basketball (wheelchair) so maybe one day I could come and visit you. I am very involved in my church and sing in both the church as well as the school choir.

hey, my name is Luke Mazibuko. I am 19 years old and in gr.11. I am a new member of the GTP. My hobbies are drawing, art, communicating with people and reading alot.

Hi, my name is Knowledge Matloga. I am 16 years old and in gr.10. It is my second time being in the GTP. I am really looking forward to participating in this learning circle about the olympics. I am part of the management of the wheelchair basketball team, I participate in golf and I am a weightlifter. My hobbies are listening to music, reading, mxiting and hanging out with my friends.

Hey Hey I am Amber the one and only girl in this group. Im 18 and in grade 12. My hobbies are art and design. I am a strong academic student and I participate in many school activities.

Hi,

I am Louise Tervit, a Physiotherapist at Hope School, Johannesburg, South Africa. I have been involved with GTP for 4 years now, with the same group. We are fortunate that we also has Mr L Storm, a teacher at the school and Mr. G. Bantjes, as computer adviser, to assist us with this learning circle. We are excited to be part of this particular learning circle and learning all about all of you. I hope this will be an interesting topic to research and a successful experience for all.
